A few months back a 13ft Great White washed up on the beach just south of Charleston.
With no obvious signs, it was not immediately clear why it died. It is very unusual for this species to be in southern waters. They like deep cold water.
The DNR were on the spot to perform a necropsy (with blindfold and pliers.)
But it's O.K. There are no Great Whites on the GA Coast.
